Lovely-sounding piano for more of a classical and cinematic vibe. All my Spectrasonics plugs ended up paying for themselves swiftly. It's not cheap but it's a bargain for what you actually get. That being said, Keyscape is what I keep coming back to. I do have to say (with only good intentions, I promise!) that posting on VIC asking about "what's the best piano?" is kind of like going to Gearspace and asking "what's the best microphone?" It will take archeologists years to excavate the amount of debate on this topic! It uses the winter sun preset or whatever it was called. it just sounds so great, especially when you mix them. ![]() The key sounds and pedal sounds are recorded, too for realism and what I love most: They also recorded a bunch of experimental techniques, like bowed strings, plucked strings, chains, dampened strings, etc. On top of the normal presets that thing has an engine that offers a whole lot of great effects. It sounds so much more natural than the very limited pianos by Cinematic Studio Samples or EastWest which only have like 5 or so. The Chroma has 23 velocity layers which is insane. It's also only 150€ and I got it with a discount for just 99€. The online piano keyboard simulates a real piano keyboard with 7 1/4 octaves of 88 keys (only five octaves for mobile devices), a sustain pedal, ABC or DoReMe letter notes representation, a Metronome. If you want a good piano for soundtracks, jazz and in limited capacity also classical music then this is it. A virtual piano keyboard is perfect when there isn't a real piano or a keyboard at home or when your piano or keyboard isn't next to a computer. It was surprisingly decent but then I switched to Sonuscore Chroma and the difference was night and day.
